The origins of Wendy Dutwin’s success lie in her rigorous training at NYU and the University of Texas, Austin. Focused on film and screenwriting, she worked with the production of The Newton Boys, directed by Richard Linklater. This led to a Production Coordinator and eventually Production Management positions at MTV. Leapfrogging to Creative Development and assisting acclaimed director Martha Coolidge, Ms. Dutwin then began working in talent endorsements at Celebrities Plus, Inc. in Los Angeles, where she eventually rose to Senior Vice President of Entertainment Marketing. After almost six years there, she made the decision to go out on her own and created Limelight Media, Inc. in 2004, with many of her clients going with her.  

With over 500 campaigns to her credit, Wendy Dutwin has achieved in a short time what most media professionals take the span of an entire career to accrue. Written up in PR Week multiple times, her successes include working on such high-profile product launches as DeVries Public Relations’ Tupperware Chain of Confidence campaign with actress Brooke Shields, as well as the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign which helps create real hair wigs for women battling cancer. Wendy negotiated two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank as the recent spokesperson for that campaign. Ms. Swank’s involvement led to significant media coverage, including Oprah, where Oprah cut off Ms.Swank’s hair in front of the live studio audience which was then made into areal hair wig for the cause.
